Thirsk School

& Sixth Form College

    Bridging Day

All Sixth Form applicants are invited to our Bridging Day on Tuesday 28th June 2016. This is a good opportunity for you to visit subject teachers and departments to learn how best to prepare yourself for the new term in September.

The day will be divided into sections so that you can have taster lessons of the subjects of your choice, help make final decisions and understand more about what it will be like to study A levels, Applied A Levels and BTEC Diploma at Thirsk Sixth Form College.  All lessons will be taught here at Thirsk on Bridging Day.  Students will also pick up homework and reading to be done over the summer break to ensure a prompt start to study in September.  It is an expectation that this work will be completed.

We will also give you additional information about the Sixth Form, allow you to choose tutor groups and be available to answer any questions you may have.

Bridging Day begins at 9.00 a.m. in the Drama Studio. There will be a separate Sixth Form lunch provided at a cost of £3.00 (payable on the day).  Please dress informally.
