Enrichment Day 22nd January 2015
Students from all year groups had the opportunity to take part in a range of creative and challenging activities.
Lower school students (Years 7 and 8) spent the day creating shortbread biscuits, cardboard crocodiles, paper puppets and chicken-wire weaving, as well as top quality music and drama performances. A group of students from Years 7, 8 and 9 took part in a workshop run by Rural Arts creating sculptures and collages based on the theme 'nature'.
The Year 9s spent the day on trips to either The Deep or The Thackray Medical Museum, while the Year 11s came to school in their best interview clothes to take part in a series of interviews with careers advisers, teachers, sixth formers and potential employers.
For the Year 13s, a busy day was rounded off with a lively and well-informed current affairs debate, on topics varying from social media to UKIP.
