    In KS3 French we study the following :

    • developing an understanding of key grammatical structures and how to apply them in our speaking and written work
    • developing the ability to listen to, speak, read and write French within the context of a wide variety of topics from ‘Studio 1’, ‘Studio 2’ and ‘Métro 3’ including -
    • yourself and your family, your home and local environment
    • your holidays
    • keeping fit
    • food and drink
    • school and work
    • the media

    Assessment : 

    • listening and reading assessment in October (Year 7 and Year 8 2nd foreign language beginners only)
    • listening/reading/writing exam in December
    • listening/reading/writing exam in March/April
    • speaking exam in June/July

    Learning beyond the classroom :

    • purchasing a French dictionary
    • practising at home, asking family to test you on vocabulary
    • asking family to test you when memorising language for writing exams
    • going on the Year 7/8 trip to Strasbourg/Freiburg
