    In KS3 maths we study the following topics:

    • number and algebra, including - fractions, decimals and percentage

    • algebraic manipulation, solving and substitution

    • drawing and interpreting graphs

    • studying shape and space which incorporates - perimeter, area and volume, understanding transformations, angles

    • handling data, including drawing and interpreting statistical graphs, understanding averages and measures of spread, understanding and interpreting probability

    Assessment :

    • mental tests
    • a non-calculator written paper
    • end of year exam comprising of a non-calculator and a calculator paper

    Learning beyond the classroom :

    • completing and marking your revision tasks before assessments
    • attending the study support group at lunch time in D19
    • using www. mymaths.co.uk
