    Meet the team:
    The SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator) is Mrs Elliott 
    Mrs Elliott teaches science and chemistry and has a background in health care, supporting adults with learning difficulties.  It is her firm belief that confidence, independence and self belief are fostered by having support that is enabling rather than being based around creating dependency on others.  Mrs Elliott has the privilege to line manage a team of well qualified and highly trained teaching assistants. 

    Mr Booth - Supports personalised learning in the USU (Upper School Support Unit) as an ATA.  He also works as a GTA in mainstream lessons supporting students and teachers across all key stages.
    Mrs Brannan - A GTA who supports pupils and teachers in the mainstream classroom at KS3 and KS4 primarily in MFL (modern foreign languages). She also assists the head of year 11 as a pastoral ATA.  
    Mrs Butcher - A GTA working across the range of curriculum subjects at KS3 and 4.  She also assists the head of year 10 as a pastoral ATA.  Mrs Butcher also works as a Mid Day supervisor at lunchtimes.
    Mrs Butler - An English specialist ATA who supports pupils and teachers across all key stages.  She also assists the head of year 9 as a pastoral ATA.  Mrs Butler is also our forces family liaison ATA.  She runs the 'ebluey' lunchtime club and arranges a range of extra curricular activities for pupils from forces families.  
    Mrs Elders - A GTA working across the range of curriculum subjects at all key stages with a particular interest in Geography, History and SRS.  
    Mrs Elliston - Supports personalised learning in our lower school support area as an ATA.
    Mrs. Halliday - A GTA with a role supporting the SENCO with the running of exam access arrangements for students.
    Miss Kitson - A GTA working across the range of curriculum subjects at KS3 and 4 with a particular interest in science and technology subjects.  She also assists the head of year 8 as a pastoral ATA.
    Mrs Mitchell - A HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) supporting a wide range of special educational needs including SpLD (specific learning difficulty), SLC (speech, language and communication), EAL (English and an additional language), personalised learning.  Mrs Mitchell also teachers Land Based Studies BTEC and English Entry Level.  Mrs Mitchell manages the school allotment and runs a lunchtime gardening club and lunchtime EAL (English as an additional language) clubs.  
    Mrs Monaghan - A GTA working across the range of curriculum subjects at KS3 and 4 with a particular interest in Drama.  She also assists the head of year 7 as a pastoral ATA.
    Mrs Nowinska - Supports personalised learning in our lower school support area as an ATA.   She also works as a GTA in mainstream lessons supporting students and teachers across KS3 and 4 with a particular interest in English.  She also supports students and parents from Polish families where English is an additional language.  
    Mrs O'Brien - Has a specialist role as a mentor to students with a range of needs across the whole spectrum of learning, social and emotional and medial needs.  She works 1:1 or with small groups of students and works closely with pastoral staff across all key stages.  
    Mrs O'Kane - Supports personalised learning in the USU (Upper School Support Unit) as an ATA.  She also has a role securing and supporting work experience placements for students at KS4 and KS5.  Mrs O'Kane teaches Jamie Oliver BTEC level 1 and 2 Home cooking skills.  
    Mrs Phillips - A GTA with a dedicated role delivering 1:1 literacy intervention.  
    Mrs Van Vuuren - A GTA who supports pupils and teachers across all key stages primarily in Maths.    
    Miss Young - A GTA with a dedicated role delivering 1:1 literacy intervention who also works as a Midday supervisor at lunchtimes.
